Left 4 Dead console

Hi there. I hope you dont mind to speak english. And i dont speak perfect english because i am portuguese. Yah, this is my first topic...Well, anyway, i cant open the console in Left 4 Dead i have download from this group. I think i dont have the updaters but i try to donwload them but i cant, but probably the two things wont connect. Well, my objective is try to open the console what ever i have to do. PLease help me. Thankyou.

Try to launch Left 4 Dead 2 with -console parameter. Also check this out: Main Menu -> Options -> Keyboard/Mouse
There must be an option to activate the console.

Its Left 4 Dead 1 and i arly try it.

My keybord is english. Can i change a setting on the game to change the type of keybord used or something?

you have tried both the console command and the options/keyboard + mouse methods, and neither works? does the ~ key not bring up console?

or " key, (the one above the tab, next to 1) on some international keyboards.

Just use the ' key. I think some games need you to activate it on the options menu on a checkbox or something.

Try going to options menu or just click the default button. Then try ` key. (Tile Key)
