Installing steam games from DVD

I recently bought 6 steam based games

Dead island
saints row 4
cod mw3
counter strike global offensive. . etc

In all these games when i try to install from dvd, the installation stops at 40 or 50 % and suddenly says " your selected games are now available in the steam games library any updates have begun downloading in the background"

and then the steam client starts downloading heavy chunks of patches and updates which i hate

the main reason why i bought dvds of games instead of downloading online is because my internet connection is very slow and limited

i want to install all my dvd games properly without any updates. . what am i supposed to do ? what sort of software should i use? i am ready to use cracks , etc, i am desperate, kindly help

Your games on DVD in .SID format? If YES, use Phoenix:

Before installing a game, disable the Autoupdating (Steam - %Game% - Properties - Updates).

some DVD games are .sim and .sid

and some dvds have .csd and .csm

I extracted the dead island game data like that using pheonix, now i got a folder with all the Dead island data in it

but how should i run the game? i dont have the exe file of it
