Очень жаль, но Release Candidate 5 на Windows 2000 server не запускается с ошибкой: Точка входа в процедуру freeaddrinfo не найдена в библиотеке DLL WS2_32.dll
Пришлось вернуться на релиз 4.

Оно и логично.
Microsoft:
Support for freeaddrinfo on earlier versions of Windows

The freeaddrinfo function was added to the Ws2_32.dll on Windows XP and later. To execute an application using this function on earlier versions of Windows (Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows Me/98/95), then you must include the Ws2tcpip.h file and also include the Wspiapi.h file.
Добавлять костыли для поддержки того что сама MS уже не поддерживает было бы странно....

Я с этой ОС ушёл ещё в 2003-ем когда в сеть утёк 2003 Enterprise...

getaadrinfo и getnameinfo имеют ту-же проблему совместимости с Windows 2000.
К счастью как я вижу в поставке MingW w32api идёт wspiapi.h и содержит спец дефайны этих функций...

Так добавил включение wspiapi.h и после пересборки вместо freeaddrinfo/getaddrinfo импортируются 4 старых BSD Sockets API функции которые использовались раньше и которые есть в Windows 2000...

Вообщем пробуйте с RC5 с eST_SCI из атача этого сообщения.

У меня выдает Валидацию. Хотя все по мануалу сделал. Даже тут где то выше скачал готовую bin папку. Все ровно так же.
На той машине где у меня установлен СТИМ, non_steam клиент пускает без проблем, тут же я и запускаю сервак. На 2ой машине где нет СТИМа выдает как раз таки валидацию.
В чем причина может быть ?

А файлики нужные скопировал? Ничего не патчил?

По мануалу надо переименовать один файл (steam_api.dll в valve_api.dll), скопировать еще 2 (steam_api.dll и eST_SCI.dll) и включить EnableCallbackControlExtension в конфиге.
Патчить ничего не надо.

Сервер - новая КСС?

Адреса вижу левые и инфа про Callback Control что выключен - BINCACHE остался у тебя от анализа со STEAM2 - Сотри кеш(cfg\steamclient_SCI_cache_*.bin) и после этого запускай.

При загрузке сервера с новым eST RC5 при загрузке сервера в консоли выдается сообщение

* Unable to load Steam support library.*
* This server will operate in LAN mode only.*
*********************************************************
engine.dll стоит "чистый", все сделано по мануалу. EnableCallbackControlExtension включен.
Сервер запускается только в LAN режиме.

При удалении eST и пропатчивании engine.dll все в норме.

Вопрос, куда копать?

Копать можно в одном из двух направлений:
1) Первое - предоставить логи и посмотрим что делать.
2) Второе - продолжить в том же духе и получить бан на месяц.

Если я не ошибаюсь, steam_api.dll нужно переименовывать в valve_api.dll.

При переходе на eST RC5 появилась проблема: no-steam клиентов выкидывает с сервера с ошибкой "STEAM validation rejected", но только когда на серверной машине включен steam. На RC4 все было нормально. Cервер tf2.

vityan666 - работа нового релиза RC5 не вызывает нареканий. Но есть один момент, наблюдаются периодические "подвисания" сервера (в моём случае сервер на машине под управлением Win 7 Pro x64). Пока наблюдаю.

Спасибо за помощь. Проблему решил тем что запустил сервер на машине с не установленным СТИМом. Заработало, валидация пропала :Yahoo!:

На будущее, какими операциями стереть кеш на steamclient_SCI_cache_*.bin ? Я в этих делах Лузер :crazy:
